Hey everyone, so to promote the Down Under tour in January 2012, I made this promotional video, as part of my street-teaming. It's a bit of a remix of the Sing music video, meshed with the Dresden Dolls music videos we all know and love (as well as a solo AFP appearances), to the audio of
Sing. Why
Sing? Because what better to promote the Dresden Dolls than their own self-proclaimed anthemic diddy
Also, I thought, should the video be watched by anyone not-yet-a-fan, Sing would probably be the most accessible song.
It took me about 10 hours straight to make, and it was fairly painstaking. Because I chose to use the uncensored album version of
Sing, dubbed over the music video, and also because I added in lots of other clips, and cut things out, I had to entirely re-sync the audio to the visuals, so that it looked like she was actually singing it. It was hard, but my 3 friends helped heaps, picking out little bits they'd wanna see in it, and giving me critique on the finished product, and I'm really happy with the final result. I tried to make it as professional as possible.
I've tried to get it circulating as much as possible, but it got deleted from youtube for copyright, probably because of the audio. Thanks to the AMAZING Punk Cabaret Army, I've had quite a few fans share it around. Mostly I've been trying to get it noticed on tumblr, as it was the only place I could upload it without it getting deleted, with some success.
