I've mentioned this elsewhere, but regarding the Amanda's new icon,  you all should read:  Frank Sinatra Has a Cold by Gay Talese.
which remains one of the best magazine portraits I've ever read (if not the best).

It's long but this passage:
Quote
Sinatra with a cold is Picasso without paint, Ferrari without fuel -- only worse. For the common cold robs Sinatra of that uninsurable jewel, his voice, cutting into the core of his confidence, and it affects not only his own psyche but also seems to cause a kind of psychosomatic nasal drip within dozens of people who work for him, drink with him, love him, depend on him for their own welfare and stability. A Sinatra with a cold can, in a small way, send vibrations through the entertainment industry and beyond as surely as a President of the United States, suddenly sick, can shake the national economy.
is among many of sheer awesomeness.

i have all this stuff on old live recordings on tape. maybe the time has come to throw them up on the net or get them otherwise out of my proverbial closet

What about a limited run EP that you could sell during your WKAP tour?

or just make a b-side collection for WKAP, and include all this stuff.

if i wasn't so tired, i would create a title.

Yes. The idea is that after all the old songs are finished up, we will be able to get all new ones.

I would like to build a better library, but I'd prefer to have polished, published copies of the books I've only got rough drafts and manuscripts for.

bummed about glass slipper, though the recording on A is for Accident is quite spectacular.

I'm really excited for this collection.

I'm especially excited about "the sheep song" and "sorry bunch"

I've been waiting a LONG time for studio versions of these.

"The Gardener" too.

If only I knew the fate of the so called "Eclectic Song."

I'll keep waiting patiently.
and keep being giddy at the possibilities.

Since you seem to be in a "answering questions" type of mood-

What will be happening with these songs?
Bitter
Colorblind
Old Demo Songs: 1.1.94, Bluesboy, Echo Gallery, June is Busting Out All Over, Mary's Surgeon, Predictable Addiction, Provanity, Sandy's Song
"Seemingly Dead" Solo Songs: Boyfriend in a Coma, Valentine's, Wesleyan Burning

bitter might find life with the dolls. i'd need to redraft the lyrics.
colorblind, who knows. maybe on next dolls record.
bluesboy, echo gallery, june, mary's suregeon, predicatble addiction, sandy's song: all maybe released someday in their current format. if i get around to it. i would love to.
boyfriend in a coma, valentine's, wesleyan fight song: i never thought these were good enough to record. probably they remain dead.
if i play live at welseyan again i'll exhume it a final time and hopefully record.
i have all this stuff on old live recordings on tape. maybe the time has come to throw them up on the net or get them otherwise out of my proverbial closet

"Eclectic Song" is Valentine's.

"Eclectic Song" is Valentine's.

ahhh! I never knew that, I always thought the title was lacking.

Thanks for the info.

It's a shame it will "probably remain dead"
It's quite an emotionally beautiful song, one of my...no, i think definitely my favorite piano only ballad.
