My name is Natasha. I am lost. I very recently stumbled upon Dresden Dolls/AFP (like a few months ago), fell completely in love, joined this site (Like a few days ago) and I have no fucking clue what I'm doing.

Can someone explain this site, how to use it, what exactly it's used for, etc.?

I think I posted this in the right place, it said questions.

Hi Natasha!  Welcome to the neighborhood (neighbourhood if you're British)

There is, technically, an "Introduce Yourself" thread, but in the interest of simplicity.....

"What are you doing?" You're in a virtual place with a whole lot of people who like/love
The Dresden Dolls and/or Amanda Palmer and/or Brian Viglione.  No one here bites, and
most of us are very friendly.

There's a variety of discussion areas: when you're at the 'Box home page, the four
topmost areas are for discussion of Amanda/Brian/The Dolls themselves, shows, songs,
touring, pictures, blogs.....

The second section is about touring-support, street team, putting up flyers for upcoming
shows and stuff like that.

The bottom section "Other" is where we talk about everything else (and beware, when
I say everything, I mean darn near EVERYTHING [within reason, there are a few RULES]
I'd suggest looking through the Dresden Dolls/Amanda Palmer/Brian Viglione section, and
"Everything Else" (where you'll find "Introduce Yourself") and post when and where you
feel comfortable.  If you have a question you don't feel like posting publicly, drop me or
on of the other mods a private message.




Oh, and if you're a spambot, congratulations on being a remarkably articulate one.

things are kind of where you would expect them...unless they are somewhere else.... use the home button to view the main sub topics or do what i do alot and watch the posts since your last visit thing as that is pretty good at keeping you up to date on what is active
