It depends how it's ripped. But most rips aren't HQ.

Anyway, does it really matter? It's still a song off the album, no matter that it was streamed first before being sent out. If it was sent out then streamed, it wouldn't matter would it?

as muh as I like the living room, I hope it is changed quite a bit from the lie version. the live version is too long, repetitive, monotonous and stagnant. idk I'd have fathered her choose the assistant over the living room to be honest

Is The Living Room confirmed to be on the album? Because on the webcast she just said that they were playing the entire album, minus The Bed Song, Trout Heart Replica and Berlin because they were too slow... And isn't The Living Room slow?

I think she'll end with Trout Heart Replica.

Well Cynthia Von Buhler has done artwork for it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLkVuuA34pE), and the project is doing 2 pieces of art (one being based on a song from the album and a self portrait).  so, i am only assuming that it will be included.  The living Room is slow, and very much like a hymn, every album that she's released has ended on a long ballad clocking 8minutes (minus YV...).  i hope she doesn't end with trout, the living room seems to be more of a closer, and i just think it would be strange to release the ending song in this stage of the release...

I actually don't think it's monotonous. It's constant, and almost slightly trancelike in its classical sadness. I really wouldn't change a bit the composition—though during the making of WKAP, when she presented the song to Ben Folds she said the production would have to make up for its monotony.

The Living Room is indeed slow and hymn-like, so yeah. It does seem like it won't be on th record, but they did walk into the studio planning to record it, so I'm sure we'll get an official AFP+GTO version either as B-side or as part of the extra Kickstarter tracks.
I also suspect the record might end with THR, because it'd kinda fit in with her usual way of working.

i'm pretty sure there is a WKAP version of "the living room" that was pretty finished for inclusion to the record...? i wonder if it's drastically different than the TIE (wow, we're gonna have to get used to that new abbreviation--theatre is evil ^_^) version.


i'm really happy she took two songs considered for WKAP (the living room and grown man cry) for this album--but i really hope she can release final versions of some other songs considered for WKAP as well, like ambien, rhyme and rhythm, provanity, the assistant, and kaledrina--those five are too amazing to not hear with production and everything

strings would make provanity and ambien a thousand times more beautiful, and i could see acoustic guitar for R&R, maybe even the assistant (though, even more instruments would be needed for that epic finish). and kaledrina...as long and "boring" as it is, it is perfect the way it is--i would love just a studio version of the live version..
