prepaid cards. u can get them at grocery stores and shit.
thanks for the tip!
anyway, a good friend of mine was willing to let me use his credit card. now i have a question to team Amanda:
Will my package be automatically shipped to the billing address (which is where my friend lives) or will I be asked for a shipping address later?
You will be able to have your package shipped anywhere you'd like, it can be the same address you want to bill to or it can be different - we don't have access to your amazon account so here's what to do:
Once the Kickstarter project closes, we'll be emailing out a "survey" via Kickstarter that'll have questions such as "Where would you like your merchandise shipped?" and that will be the address used to send you your swag. Keep in mind that the Kickstarter will be wrapping up in about four weeks time and the CD won't be shipping 'till around September, so if you plan on moving or will have a different address if you attend school etc. keep this time frame in mind when you fill out your shipping address!
I'll be moving into a student house mid-September. Is it worth just putting my student address down, since I'm in the UK even if they ship the first week in September, it'll probably still take until that point to get to me? And when the album comes out, I will probably cry if it arrives at my home-house and I have to wait for my parents to forward it D:
The download code will be emailed to you, so no matter what mailing address you use, you'll still be able to listen to the album.
My 2 cents - I think you'll be fine using with your student address. Wait for the KS to end and fill out the survey, look for info on the expected dates the merch will ship, and if there's a field for notes, specify your situation. If you are really concerned that the package may arrive to student housing before you're there, you can shoot an email to Eric (or use the Kickstarter email/contact system to Amanda's project) when the KS ends and he'll help sort you out.
Also, if you fear there's a chance that your student housing won't accept your mail, and you're 100% sure your parents will accept it... it may just be worth the wait to have your parents safe guard your package.
