I'm really bummed at what this thread has evolved into. Not the baby sloth pictures, but the stuff between.
Listen. The spam is a problem, right? I'm listening, and I will help and speak up LOUD AND CLEAR, to the rest of Team AFP and whoever it takes about your concerns so that progress can be made. Let's move forward.
I, Hayley, want this forum, The Shadowbox, to live up to its potential of being a community, of being a STRONG community that takes care of each other and is a positive, affirming place to share and be heard and laugh and find joy. I'm sure you all, or at least most of you, share this sentiment.
Now, HOW do we do that? How do we make this place the safe haven it once was for any and every one who shares even the smallest common thread of KNOWING OF (and not even necessarily liking or loving) Amanda Palmer and The Dresden Dolls? Tell me, simply put, what you feel or think needs to happen in order for this place to be fun for you? How to make this place something you will proudly share with new friends/fans?
Quote my post here and reply to it and I will take notes and compile a proper assessment with your feedback and try to prioritize a list of things and features that we need to get going to make this place BETTER. Be realistic, be ambitious, tell me (and tell us, Team AFP) what your thoughts are.
Now, the door has always been open for your input - that's why we have a whole forum section dedicated to it - but in writing this post, I want to make it EXPLICITLY clear that you are being heard, and I am serious about getting things back in order.
Cut out the pettiness, bring that to a thread in a general discussion forum, but here, right HERE, tell me, tell us, what you think will make this place be the best it possibly can be. Let's collaborate. I cannot guarantee when (or even IF) these suggestions will be implemented, but I can guarantee that I will work to bring them forward so they can be seriously considered.
Okay? And as always, you can email or PM me if you wish to discuss these things privately.
