The Wizard of Oz
« on: February 23, 2012, 11:09:13 PM »

My theater is doing a production of Wizard of Oz on Wednesday, March 14th at 7pm. If we don't sell enough tickets, the show will get cancelled. I'm in it, and it's my senior show. I don't know if anyone on here would actually be able to come, but if you know people that might be (obviously in the New York area), please pass the link on to them and encourage them to buy a ticket please. Link for purchasing is posted below! Thank you!

I am far away, but I have shared the information with my immense NYC-area social circle.   O0

I promised it will be great, so you'd better knock it out of the park, else I shall be humiliated.   :knuppel2:

You might even get a critique from Agonistes
on your sets!  ; - }

I don't have any pictures of the sets, but I'm in the local parade today dressed as Dorothy. Since we had to put everything away for a concert at the theater, I have my dress with me at home.

SECRET: The dress is reversible. We're doing the Kansas stuff in black/white/sepia tones, and Oz in bright colors!

QFT. Sadly I don't think I know anyone in the area, but I hope it doesn't get cancelled! What an awful thing to do to theatre groups. Have fun!

^^ Yes, I did have a Toto! It was actually a girl that was in a dog costume, who kind of interacted like Scooby-Doo... And yes indeed! The woman who designed it was rather brilliant (though, I did wish that she sewed the two pieces together... I was so paranoid that the top layer would ride up and destroy the image!)

Also, side note, the second show went on! Pictures can be viewed here: https://plus.google.com/photos/100616009114067625121/albums/5719952062379291441?banner=pwa&authkey=CM6I1Mj_uvnTogE
