What was it before?

And to the comments about this being a "nice" place to feel open to post whatever in that can go too far.  This board...err the last one, and even more so I hear the one before that were actual communities, and were not perfect but real friendships came out of them.  The past few years have seen most of the people fall off and that's beyond whatever happened with the music since most of the discussion was in the non-music sections.

Pro-active modding is fine in theory but I think a better approach is waiting for parties to report being offended first.
Pro-active modding can quickly turn into overly controlled boards. THe Dolls and AFP are all about freedom of speech afterall.

We are all tough skinned adults, no nanny state needed on the Shadowbox and if someone is being a dick the people who use it will tear them a new one without the need for GODMODE admin actions.
Sincerely hope you can come back sometime but perhaps more chilled about things?

Len adopted one of Cee's posts as his sig over 4 years ago made during the big birthday thread brouhaha, which was kind of a continuation of the Gerard Fineran fiasco.  I found it fascinating that he kept it as his sig all this time.  Here's the sig, FYI:

Yeah. I think Johnny would help. But ambigendi locus (Im afraid to get your name wrongly. :p) wouldnt be a bad moderator too, imo.

I think Johnny or Sarah would both make excellent mods. I consider them both close friends in real life (err except Johnny is my boyfriend and I live with him, so that goes without saying) and I know them both to be responsible and grounded folks.
I do think we're all jumping the gun a little though. No one has actually said there's going to be a UK/European mod.

Yeah, but just in case there's going to be a European mod, i too think they could make perfect mods.

Also, though i don't know if she has enough time to do it, i think Captain Oblivious (Roisiny) would make a great mod too.
