I don't have time for alts since we're working on BT.

5/5, 5/9 myself. In a bit of an attendance lull lately (myself included).  :)

I didn't think anyone would get my little abbreviation joke that quickly.  4/5, 6/9, with RoS down last night and Archi to 20%, so we'll be 5/5 on Tuesday.  Then it's a whole lot of Heart farming.

One more nerd-out post, sorry art folk.

Grats on RoS! We should really have...him? her? it? down by now (we've gotten to P3 at least twice). Part of the reason I like my guild is we're very fair, but we have problems sitting people for optimal raid setup (case in point for RoS, a pali tank healing = not good). We don't like to be mean, basically, which can backfire in that our progression is slower (we also have no attendance requirement which really hurts).

Archie is what's crushing us though. We can't get that second kill. A lot of that has to do with the attendance (we nearly always have newer folks), but mainly its the "that guy" syndrome. We struggled with Teron last week due to basically the same thing. "That guy". Can't kill ghosts, can't move out of fires, dusted.

I wish I still had the drive to play, I just burnt out on my main big time (Shadow priest for reference). I'm thinking I'll roll deathknight come the expansion to hopefully renew some interest, but we'll see.

Are you on Medivh? I think I remember you starting a SB guild way back when. There was about 7-8 hardcores that came to our server from Medivh, and went from T4 to being on Illidan in like...a couple months.

Psh, nerddom gives a much needed break from being artsy.

I was on Medivh a long time ago, now I'm on Turalyon.  The SB guild fell through since there weren't enough of us to really keep up an interest.  Part of the success of my guild (started t5 in January) is that we stick to the basic raid makeup and try to keep the number of members low.  We've been really lucky to have yet to recruit a "that guy" and we always seem to get people who both want to play and can play well, and getting a whole guild of people like that is practically unheard of.

Thats a great deal! Our guild fluctuates...its essentially a "casual" raiding guild due to the attendance, so we rarely have the same people every night. It's easier to manage (less time committment), but definitely hurts progression. I like the people in it a lot though, I've been in the same guild for three years running now.

The Medivh transfers do exactly what you're saying. They have a low pop guild, with nearly the same people every night. Some of our best progression surges have been when we've consistantly kept in the same people.

Ah, the "that guy". It really comes down to being able to move around and do other things. For almost every encounter. I lead raids...I try not to get frustrated, but when its something as simple as "don't let fire burn you", I can snark a bit.

Best of luck in your progression, you should shoot past MS and the Council once the hearts roll in.  :)

I've said in the past that I wouldn't use an alt but I felt the need to have one for these sections as I want to be able to make posts without people seeing "Admin" next to my name and thinking that any differences of opinion, etc are going to result in me banning them or some shit.   -BillH

I think this is a stupid idea!

Please, don't ban me.

Well, obviously, I think the aversion to alts is ridiculous anyway. It's like clinging to belief in the Easter Bunny.

My God, Virginia is a great place to catch out.

Ha... the Dolls next album name! My God, Virginia!

I will tolerate no more Dolls album names with "Virginia" in them.

She should put out an album called "The Light Blue Vulva".

I'm trying to think of a way in which that is not totally... well... an allusion to food insertion porn.
