Its a sad fact that demonstrations have been virtually wiped out by legislation here. The last true march was the "Not In My Name" demo against the invasion of Iraq. We once had a voice. We protested (& rioted) against the poll tax. It worked, the poll tax was scrapped. With the governments restrictions on public gatherings & protests the vast majority have fallen silent. So I have retired my womble suit (im sure some of you will get the reference) & mourn the passing of freedom of expression.
