I stopped watching it when Catherine Tate joined the cast. The woman can't act & the only funny thing she has done is the sweary gran.

God I know, right. She always looks like she's... I dunno, doing an impression of her character instead of just being her. And she's totally not funny.

OH MY GOD. They should have Dylan Moran as the next companion person! Aw man - sweary Irish Dr Who XD

Doctor Who................. Despite some dire scripts, it has remained somewhat faithful to the original spirit of the programme..........Now we need a decent revival of "Sapphire and Steel"

Apart from my one and only gripe. Actually, it's pretty major.

The Daleks should be subject to the laws of gravity.

Daleks don't fly. Bad, bad, bad.

Sapphire and Steele? Wasn't that David McCallum & mmm...now, either Joanna Lumley or someone similar? I refuse to look this up. I vaguely remember the series...

Why not?  They can time-travel, can't they?  I'd think that a much trickier dimension to manipulate than a mere z-axis...

Followup question, re. "...original spirit of the programme...":
Didn't Who start out as basically "educational TV"?  Sort of a You Are There at [significant historical event]?

Daleks flying makes perfect sense to me. I have no problem with it at all. Sonic screwdrivers that suddenly become a
fix it all magic wand kind of bug me but I love the show to much to really care.

Doctor Who did start out as a way to educate kids about history alternating between historical and futuristic episodes. When they realised that the kids only really liked the scary stuff like the Cybermen and the Daleks they gave up on that idea and just made it entertainment.

(I just realised how much of a Doctor Who geek I really am. Disturbing.)

When I watch it:

The travel channel. That Anthony guy mostly, that Samantha lady makes me mad sometimes.
Law & Order: Criminal Intent..only when the guy from the cell is in it.
Scrubs.
Family Guy.
Robot Chicken.
Aqua-Teen Hunger Force.

Mostly Scrubs and Family Guy though.

Oh and The Simpsons because it plays between the two.
