The news section will be used for breaking news whereas the news box at top will be used for more ongoing helpful info....

oh, and other thing, maybe when we type theshadowbox.net on the browser, we should get directly redirect to here no? that way people who type the name there wont have to go to the old forum and then to this one. just an idea.

i just selected a light bulb for this reply

you can select one - there are just under the Subject: text field on the post page
added self-expression and it does provide visual breaks in the lists

Well...is there any way to hide your user statistics from non-moderators, actually? And if not, is there any way that option could be added? There are some legitimate privacy reasons, I think.

And, BillH, I like the new box...good job. And people who don't like it: there are several available themes, you can change the way it looks.

try other characters? warhol would ;-}

your op art uses far less network bandwidth then my image/text scroll
both consume a lot of local computes on the computer the browser runs on

most modern browsers should do this marquee scroll
text-only browsers, and voice browsers that the blind use probably don't scroll it

here on the box, it's done with the html <marquee> tag, which is more fun to play with then the bbc

(ex) when i was looking for a thread i typed in "hated/disliked dresden dolls song" it found NOTHING. OOOOHH I have to put in capitals. FUCK. and when i went looking for this thread i typed in "new box" and found nothing as well. so I basically have to put everything in exactness. there's no such thing as keywords cuz it'll search you up some random shit. or maybe I'm just computer illiterate.

i also dislike any über control over your own threads and posts. I think you can EDIT, but not REMOVE them. and locking? as far as I know there's no point on locking a thread if it hasn't turned out into a flame. someone can say about pools, but if I'm not wrong, you can set pools to be temporary.
