Wow, this thread scares me. Pinkerton is, was, and probably always will be my absolute FAVORITE Weezer album, but it was dissed by mainstream music, but a like a cult favorite amongst fans. Tired of Sex. Getchoo. El Scorcho. Really rocking songs.
The Blue Album was revolutionary. Undone. Buddy Holly. My name is Jonas. Say it Ain't So. It's a really close tie to Pinkerton for me.
We are all on Drugs from Make Believe is great too, and Burndt Jamb is an awesome mellow song from Maladroit.
OMG, I could go on. But as for the Red Album, I've only listened to it here and there, and here's what I think. I loved Pork n Beans when it came out, and it was wonderful to hear new Weezer on the radio. Someone said that no one but Rivers should sing on a track, seems a little... biased, for lack of a better word. The drummer sings on Automatic, 9th elusive track, but I've heard it as a promo for Gran Turismo 4... They remixed it for the promo, but my boyfriend and I still love it even though it is dance-remixedfied, and we can't wait to hear it in it's original format. Everybody Get Dangerous is also pretty rocking on the album, and it reminds me sort of Night Recon. Like the lyrics. Lol.
The other cool thing that stuck out on the Red Album was a reference to Kurt Cobain/Nirvana on Heart Songs, and I give props to any band that gives a nod to Nirvana. Heart Songs is an awesome song, even without the Nirvana reference though.
But I suppose that is only my humble opinion......
