Great UK sites for Brigade-y things
« on: May 10, 2008, 07:40:50 AM »

I totally recommend http://www.firetoys.co.uk/ for all your circus equipment needs. They are the best for almost everything (they have never let me down). Their site also has a helpful forum, which I have found useful in the past (for locating specialist equipment, getting info and tips from fellow performing freaks..)

I also recommend http://www.unicycle.uk.com/ for all UK-based Unicyclists and wannabe-unicyclists. Theys good people and reeally know their shit.

also, while I'm recommending stuff, (if you're in London) I also endorse the evening and weekend classes and workshops at The Circus Space in Shoreditch and the Theatre de l'Ange Fou & International School of Corporeal Mime near Finsbury Park (yeah, yeah.. fucking MIMES.. I know.) You can learn a lot, the places/people at both are great, plus it is much fun (and mostly not too expensive.)

So. there you go. If you're a wannabe brigader in the UK.. there's some possibly useful linkage for ya. I arrogantly proclaim my wisdom. Hear ye. *stamps foot*

(honestly no spam-ishness intended.)

I need to get to some of these! It is about time I broadened my performing skills.
