Sichuan Earthquake - China Hit
« on: May 12, 2008, 09:15:16 PM »

And to think I had a nice dinner there August 2006...

I have a friend who believes the Apocalypse is coming. This would really excite her.
Uh-oh, pandas.

And Sichuan is Personal-Dooku-Land. Inside joke...

Sichuan Earthquake...

Is that anything like firecracker shrimp?

Can I get it at Panda Express?

Pandas are wonderful. I love the way they look. I am sadly amused at their sexual dysfunctionality though.

I wouldn't touch her with a Koala dick.

As far as the earthquake goes...I just don't know what to think. There's nothing that can really be done that I see other than offer aid. It is tragic that the losses they suffer are always so high when they face a natural disaster.

I'm much more worried about how the Burmese government will handle survivors of the cyclone than the Chinese at the moment.  It's a brash and crude way to think about it, but there's nothing that can be done for the dead now besides move the bodies so they do not disease the living.

I'm confident that the Chinese will be able to support their survivors and prevent more deaths better than the Burmese military junta can/is willing to.

Reaching people trapped under debris is going to be a pretty difficult task though.  They're going to have to move as fast as possible.

maybe it's god's way of saying, "you getting really fricking heavy."

jokes aside, it was awful hearing about how a school collapsed and is now a site of mourning.  Imagine, all those parents standing outside, crying.  I hope to God nothing like this happens, here.

I find it apt that the two occurred in such close proximity to each other. I'm mostly interested in this because a substitute teacher asked me if I had any relatives in Sichuan (and because of a telephone convo with a semi-Evangelist friend about why these disasters are occuring, although I find the idea of this being the end end rather looney toons  :uglystupid2:).

I hope my Personal Dooku doesn't try to take out stress on me because his relatives live there D:
