Okay. So. I have some things to say.
I got really bad indigestion during the holidays (to the point that I felt too nauseous when standing up) so I laid off meats, fish, and dairy for about two weeks. I was basically vegan for those two weeks (well not exactly because I had honey in my tea). That was about a month ago. I played around with a vegetarian diet and I decided that I liked fish too much to give it up, so now I'm pescatarian. And I just want to say that I lost 5 pounds, and about an inch off my waist. I can fit into pants that were too tight to close around my hips a month ago. Along with eating healthier and smarter, I do a lot of yoga, and walking. I recently joined a gym, and I went out for a run the other night and I learned that I actually enjoy running. Wow, I never thought I'd say that. In fact, I never thought I'd put on a pair of running shoes and run. Ever. Bike, swim, play tag with friends, other sport-yish things that involve using your legs to move quickly, but running for exercise? Pfft, no. I didn't think I'd ever do it, but I did and I really, really enjoyed myself. I always told myself that I'd exercise more if I had a dog - this was my excuse to not go out and get fresh air. But when you have Girl Anachronism blasting on your iPhone, those 3 minutes go by like a second.
Also, I love exercising in the winter because I fucking hate the cold, so to beat the cold I exercise to keep warm, and now that I love running, well. You know keeping warm won't be an issue for me any longer.
Hope everyone stays super fucking healthy! Everything in moderation!
