AFP Houseparty London, UK

so, just checking if there's any interested londoners? I can probably offer the place for the party, but really can't be bothered to organize.

50 people would make it 60 pounds each...

Do we have a rough idea of the date timeline for such a house party? I ask because I am in the U.S. now, but will be living in London for a year starting this September. Just trying to figure out where to put my money. :)

Amanda is gonna be here in June, but not sure how the house party would be timed.

the place would be in clerkenwell, so pretty central.

indeed would be up for this...with the caveat that Afp wants to do these as  house guest shows not full on gigs....will happily supply swordfight shows, puppets, random masques etc.....

I'd totally be up for this, and I'm good for £60 if we can get 50 people involved. (or, what I think is happening in Australia, one person is paying a larger portion, and is keeping all of the merch that is offered with the bundle - just a thought)

Two questions though: How do we go about sorting money out (ie - somebody has to be responsible for forking over £3000), and also how do we decide a date? What happens if, once correspondance with AFP happens, there is one person who can't make the agreed date?

I'm up for a London house party! But as with others, it would depend on dates if I could get involved or not (:

I'm in for this!  Just to point out that there's a facebook group trying to group together people as well, but it's UK, not London specific https://www.facebook.com/groups/235582913209364/236254916475497/?notif_t=group_activity  The main problem seemed to be someone volunteering their house, but as the OP seems to be happy and very generous to do so, then lets round up the fans!

I'm so down for this so please count me in! Regarding money, Once we have 50 people we could set a date and all pay pal across on the same date. then whoevers paypal it is could book the party! Possibly the person hostin! Just thoughts! But whatever happens i'm down, anyone fancy getting a facebook group going to find 50 people willing to come to Lontdon for the party? :)

Count me 100% in & v v happy to contribute £60. I can host 2-3 people for the nighht in Mile End also, to crash afterwards. Amanda also said spring 2013 is a possible date & I wonder if that's better to give people time to save for travel & accomm and also to avoid Olympic craziness.

is that facebook group for edinburg then? I think we could try for a London one... Anyone has any info on the one that's mentioned in one of the comments? (I think facebook is kind of terrible to organise large groups of people).
