Before putting down any money, I put forward the quetion again, what happens if there is no agreeable date between everyone? Especially if we pool the money before deciding on a date, it would suck if someone is unable to make it.

And also, what is going to happen with all the physical merch that is offered along with the gig? (CD/vinyl/art book/bed song book/art show entrance)

are dates not mostly up to Amanda?
I got a tweet back from Eric Sussman saying dates for uk would most likely be June/later in the autumn.

Even if it is up to Amanda, what happens if the date Amanda is available is not viable for people who have paid?

i think the whole thing with this is you have to be pretty open schedule wise...
maybe we could offer up the physical merch to anyone who does pay and later can't make it?

Thank you for setting up the facebook event :)

I don't think there's any way to stop at a certain number of people (I might be wrong) but in that case you might want to make it invite-only.

i'll change it to invite only when it reaches 50ish
otherwise ya'll would have to befriend me and then invite you... not that i'm anti-social, feel free to be my friend anyway <--- just there is more effort and techyness to that way and i'm sleepy.

Oh yeah I understand. It totally didn't occur to me that you'd have to be friends with people to invite them!

Hey guys! Totally up for this and have added myself to the facebook event, but I have a pretty tight timeline as I travel around a lot. Amanda's FAQ says the team can let us know if a specific date is okay if we can decide on one, so would this anyone be open to this option? While I'd love To back this, I'm a bit unsure about putting my money down for something I don't know if I'll be able to make. Would probably make it easier for everyone to make up their minds as well and to avoid people backing out last minute.

My vote is to hold the party on any of the days that Amanda is in London during June 2012 (provided the team is cool with it of course). Seems to make the most sense, logistically, and is also soon enough that we can firm up our schedules. Thoughts?

Signed up, and applied to join the London FB group.  If we can do the date, then you've probably got two, but we need the date....

Sending the FB link to my partner now.

Hey!! I'd be interested but am skint as atm. However, depedant on when we'd need to pay/ when the gig is, I'm definitely up for getting involved and pitching in. I don't have a Facebook though, so could anyone post updates on here? Very exciting!

I'm in. I've given $25 to the project but I would willingly fork out more if there was a place for me ^_^

In my mind, it makes more sense to plan a date before collecting money. As somebody else said, I am more than happy to pay out for this, but I'm not so happy about paying quite a large sum of money upfront, only to later find I can't attend the date.

Shall we tentatively plan for June 19th? That's the day between the art show and the rock show, so Amanda will definitely be in London, just depends if she has anything else planned. We could ask Eric if she'll be around that day?

I think that makes a lot of sense.

Totally up for this, have joined the FB event, however I think it says on the website that you may have to wait 12- 18 months for the party.

Ditto. June 19th seems to be the most logical, then Amanda won't need to make an extra trip down for this as well.

I've put up a poll on the facebook event in an attempt to get the ball rolling on firming up a date. If anyone would like to put their two cents in on what works for them, you can do so here - https://www.facebook.com/events/443398632342439/444282062254096/?notif_t=plan_mall_activity
