We can totally work out a way to do it. I'm open to expanding it to 75 people at $66.66 apiece -- which is a special number in and of itself. :D

Hello! I am severely interested in this except:

-I don't have Facebook - is the group public and/or able to be viewed by people without accounts? If not, is there an alternate way to plan?

Hello! I am severely interested in this except:

-In the event that one does not have $100, is it possible I could bake a lot of cookies or something to make up for this?
-I also don't have Facebook - is the group public and/or able to be viewed by people without accounts? If not, is there an alternate way to plan?

1. Hopefully we'll have some folks that could afford to spend some extra cash and even things out. If all else fails, I can save up a bit more -- I was going to buy the $300 Kickstarter package as it were anyway :)
2. The Facebook group is public; you can view it but not comment on it unless you have Facebook. We'll cross-post important things here.

Also, the managing editor of Laughing Squid just joined the Facebook group and wants to host at her place! She started a Google Group on the subject, which I think is easier for people to sign up to/into (all you need is, I think, a Gmail address): https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/afpbayarea

Oh! I know you Jonthebastard. Not formally but I definitely recognize you from AFP stuff and other Bay Area geekery. :}

THE HOUSE PARTY HAS BEEN FUNDED! Damn, that was fast. :)

It looks like we will take 30 people at $160 each or 40 people at $125 each. More details pending.

Yup. She's the one that just funded it. She and I are talking on the FB page and Google Groups and over email. I think she spoke to Amanda/Eric directly and thus will be working out some of the finer kinks. But in either event, YEP, IT'S FUNDED :D

So, after an initial "woo everyone go pay for your spot yayayayay" the tide seems to have slowed.

If you request to join the Google group, you should be able to get in and send in a donation. They are $160 and we've got about 22 spots left.

leprechaun106317: A few other folks have expressed financial woes as well. If you join the group and post your concern, something can probably be worked out...

Sorry about that, but yes, we're full now. =/

We're capped at 34 people including Ms. Blazenhoff. As it's of an indeterminate date, however, I imagine that we could probably start a waiting list for anyone who couldn't nab a spot. I'll keep an eye on the forum here and will post in case anyone backs out.

Those who did make it: congrats! :) Further discussions will go on in the Google Group, including time, dates, and food plans.

Agh, I totally would have shelled out for this if:
1) It weren't already full.
2) If I weren't terrified of parties.

Have fun though!
