facebook is like the worst book I've ever read. the characters do not evolve one bit and the plot is going nowhere.

I haven't watched any of the semi-finals because I'm at my family's house this year and it's normally impossible to get at the TV all the time unless everyone is at school or asleep, but I watch the finals every year. I've managed to get the living room and the massive TV to myself because no one else wants to watch (what is wrong with them?). Anyway. Score. I am very excited.

i only heard a couple of song but i really liked loreen's so i'm happy she won!
i really LOLed that the old russian women arrived in second place...they're the life of the party  ;D
and i didn't dislike nina zilli's song, but it's ALWAYS dance-y songs winning eurovision, so i wonder why some countries insist on slow soppy songs...  >:(

Yeah it was not pretty much like an Eurovision-y song, but considering the winner of the last year i think slower songs have a chance too. Zilli has mostly been criticized for looking like Amy Winehouse, but i remember her from the sountrack of the movie called Mine Vaganti, and i know she's a really good background. I wish she could win.

If i was U.K., i'd send Paloma Faith as representer; and if i was France i'd send Zaz.
And as for Ireland's Jedward, if my nieces were able to stay up that late and vote, Jedward could totally win, lol.

niels, i just listened to iceland.... it's a good song but a bit too epic for my own taste...

and merve, i went to a showcase nina zilli did some months ago :) she was really nice, and answered to a fan's question about her look being similar to amy...
she said she wasn't bothered by those comments, but that they only show people's ignorance, because both her and amy's inspiration was actually the MOTOWN years...
so it wasn't her copying amy but both having the same roots and inspirations...

love zaz too, she'd be a good choice!

I really liked Denmark's song, I think it was a bit harsh it placed in the bottom 5 considering some of the questionable songs that were showcased.

Yes, and i think both of them got inspired by the Ronettes and such other earlier bands.

This. I liked that song a lot too. The style and her way of singing reminded me a bit of a Dutch singer. Anyway, I'm glad Sweden won, cause the song and the whole act was definitely my favorite.
