I'd prefer a ruined Scottish castle, but if all we can afford is English, I'm sure it'll do.

I like this idea, because the process of actually building a ruin would be really really fun. Build something amazing and mysterious, then smash the shit out of it so people can only very vaguely figure what it did. Import some rocks from across the world just to fuck with em a bit.

Make sure it has a "series of small walls" as well.

Also, we do have castles. It's not really the same as a European castle, because it's only two centuries old, but it's still a castle. And it's only a few miles from where I grew up.
