AVG free?
« on: May 25, 2008, 05:21:04 PM »

For users of AVG -

I am being prompted to upgrade AVG 7.5 to AVG 8.0.

Updates will no longer be available for 7.5 after May 31st.

From what I can see AVG 8.0 will not be free. I am a cheapskate.

Any advice where I should go for free anti-virus protection?

(OS is Windows XP).

AVG Free Edition version 8.0 is buried but I think I found it:

I'm just going to download now.

It works and it's free. You can ask for much more, the old versions were very memory and processor intensive, though
