hyenas. I'm actually starting to get over this fear, but I still strongly dislike them.
I'm absolutely terrified of getting old.

Spiders, maggots, worms of all sorts.
Then there's my feet-phobia.
Then there's my fear of being buried alive or dying only to wake up 6 feet under.
Then my claustrophobia, I can't stand being in small spaces, i feel as if the walls are closing in on me (which is also one of my fears).
The fear of my parents dying (which I know will eventually happen).
And I'm not that fond of elevators, either.

Doesn't everyone in your country do this?
Or is it just the folks in Transylvania?   [hey, what happened to the vampire-bat smiley?]

(Ardeal?  Is that the right word?  Anyway, if you get tired of the vampire jokes, just say the word...)

No, we still do that, it's just that I've done it so many times and frankly, the whole escape thing is quite tiring (as exemplified by Uma Thurman in Kill Bill).
Yes, Ardeal is the right word. However, Ardeal does not equal Transylvania.
And as surprising as it may seem, I haven't heard that many vampire jokes, so entertain me:D

Three vampires walk into a bar.....
Bartender:  What'll it be?
Vampire #1: O-positive please...
Vampire #2: I'll have the same...
Vampire #3: Just plasma for me...

Bartender: So that's two bloods and a blood lite?

(Sorry, it's the first one that came to mind.)

Oh I got one,too
Three vampires having a drink. Two pop a bottle of blood and start gulping. The third pulls out a used tampon and puts it into a coffee mug.
"What are you doing?" ask the two
"I'm having some tea".
Not that good, but I can't think of any other jokes.

Actually, I thought of that one, but thought in in sufficiently poor taste that I decided not to post it.

I have the falling one...I've always thought of it as heights, but it isn't really.  I can look out the window of an airplane or down from an enclosed lookout like the Hancock or the Pru.  An open monument like Bunker Hill or Bennington or the Empire State, on the other hand, freaks me right the fuck out.  And so much in Calefornia -- the Steep, not Golden, State, in my book.  So many cliffs!  Gah! Glad to be home!

Does anybody else who has the falling one have it in the third person?  I used to see people letting their preschoolers play near the edge of highway 1 in California and the heart palpitations were as strong as if it were me on that edge.  Hated it, every bit of it!

Traffic.  I hate the feeling of not being able to move or go anywhere if I have to.  Last summer or the one before, we got stuck in traffic and I actually started to cry.  Not one of my prouder moments, but now anytime we hit traffic, I get panicky.

Centipedes.  I've tried to get over it by they're just so freaky.

My #1 fear, though, is sea monsters.  It's not so bad as I've never actually come across one, but the thought of it being a possibility terrifies me.  No one can convince me that they don't exist.  Even if they don't exist as something in Loch Ness monster form, whales and those huge effing squids are terrifying.  You will never catch me on a boat on any large body of water.

Death was just another phase and maybe a better one. You wondered if we knew each other before.  You asked me who I thought I was before.  I said maybe a fish because I love water and you said, you thought a mermaid, maybe.  If you were a mermaid, you said, if you were a mermaid, I was the sea.

I guess it's a safe bet Ecstasia won't be coming to the apartment for dinner. This place is the Lair of the Giant Centipede.

My fantasy is to breed one so big I can saddle it up and ride it to work.

Stonoshka died, sadly... but Anasazi is almost six inches now. She was less than three inches when I first had her. She'll probably make the eleven inch mark.

Stonoshka, RIP...

....because it's funny when you're frightened...

I dunno if I'd say I'm "afraid" of centipedes, but if that Anasazi there showed up at
my place she'd leave as bug-paste.   Y'all have fun though.
