What kind of places are you applying to?

Do any of them already have people with, say, just for example, really cool green hair?
....or do they have people who look like me: no piercings, no tats, boring hair....?

Most of the places with coloured haired people don't seem to be hiring. I've had a couple of interviews where they've said my hair colour doesn't matter as long as it's tidy and I take my piercings out, so hopefully there are more places like that who might actually give me the job
But yeah, many places only hire plain people, which is a little sad since it's 2012.

EDIT: also, I feel less shit about things today since I've decided it shouldn't be too bad as long as I base the bulk of my job search online, that way they don't see me unless they give me an interview, and if they give me an interview they'll know a bit more about what I'm actually like and might hire me.
On topic: saw this thing on facebook with this picture of a punk guy at two different ages where his appearance didn't change and loads of commenters were complaining how selfish he was for not growing out of it and getting a job and becoming a productive member of society, when they knew nothing about the guy except what he looked like. People are silly >.<

Today, I saw some posters at the bus stop (one where I don't usually take the bus, but is a major stop in my city) about Kate Nash playing a venue in MY CITY. No one I like EVER plays in my city. Mainly because it's named a city, but in reality it's more like a town. It's tiny. Whenever you walk the street, you're bound to see tons of people you know.

ANYWAY, why does it ruin my day? Today it's the 21st of November. When was she playing? THE 20TH! Damn.

The massive hole in my tooth is giving me trouble again. The whole left side of my jaw is aching. I can't afford to go to a  dentist though, considering I didn't even make rent this week. Things are getting worse and worse and I desperately need a job or even the benefit for the time being, but can't seem to get either.

Cee: I've always done that with piercings and it's worked a treat, never occurred to me to do it for this, though. I don't have any salt, but I'll give it a try when I can get some (rationing out the last of my money gives me a $20 grocery budget each week for the next three weeks by which point I should hopefully be on the dole if I still haven't found a job, so yes I can do this)

My dentist situation is too unfortunate for them, as for my rent situation, I'm unfortunate enough as long as I wait a few weeks for their "stand down period"

@astica try the saltwater. It really helps. If you can get your hands on some vodka or other strong alcohol you can rinse with that too. Hold it over the sore tooth and you'll get a little pain relief.
