Sunburn.
Painful.
Not even all over. Just in a few patches, like one of my knees, and the tops of both my feet. And I even put sunblock on multiple times, just obviously not enough on those areas.
Sunscreen does fuck all in this country. Damn you, ozone layer.
I feel your pain. Literally, in fact, as my shoulders are also sunburnt (it's always my shoulders >.<)

Yeah, my friend gave me some of that last year after a day filming in the sun. I still have the reddened burnt skin from that (it's been eleven months and not healed -.-) but I had awful heatstroke and the gel made me feel a bit better at the time.

Also, I'm surprised I got burnt yesterday since I only went out for about an two hours just walking around town running errands, and was inside for some of that time. Sun hates me :'(

This is shit that ruined my months actually. And the shit is called exams. I've already passed two and still have five more to do. I don't mind studying, I like it. Problem is at my uni we never write test. Every exam is an oral one. And I'm extremely nervous during exams. Plus a lot of examiners seem to have being unpleasant or rude as a hobby. And I have astma which gets much worse when I'm nervous so every time I try to answer something clever, all I can do is to cough.  :-\

^That's weird, why do they have to be oral?

Yeah, it is. I'm not sure of the science behind it, unfortunately, but lets just say that I've had sunburn so bad that it's blistered on multiple occasions in my life, even when I've been wearing sunscreen. It scars, too.

I don't know. I assume it's traditional, like exams have been oral at this university for 300 years or so. Nothing ever changes here.

It's really weird. And can't it be really unfair at times? Like the professors can mark you up or down depending on their thoughts about you as a person?

In written exams there's a tangible evidence, an exam paper, so you have the right to object when you think there's a problem with your mark.

Looking at the past exam papers for a test I have next week.
Seems the module has been fairly different every year, we didn't get any guidance on areas to focus on for the exam.

Ugh, my minor is like five times as much work as my major, WHY?

Yes, sometimes it is very unfair. You can't choose your examiner and most of the time you see him/her for the first time in your life. Usually it is about 30 students taking exam in one day and they are divided into 3 or 4 groups, each group has one examiner. And some of them are really nice and you can easily get an A and some of them are rude and you fail just because they are in a bad mood. It is a stupid system.

Yeah, I have some of that paw paw ointment to ease the burn, and an aloe vera lotion to stop the peeling and itching. It's not too bad, except when I'm going to have to put shoes on to go to work today.

^ That sucks for you :(

I just got a call from work. My contract will end this Monday, and they have to discuss whether or not I'm staying. They need people on Saturday, but I can't work in the weekends (my parents live a 2 hour train trip away, and I want to see them once in a while, plus friends who are also living there). If I lose my job I have a big big problem...
