Getting hit on by a girl in a gay bar.
Actually I don't think a girl has ever hit on me before, but never before with the line "Please tell me you're straight"

Being called "cute". Perked me up quite a bit

It works for me as well. I just wish I was better at reacting to it. I tend to blush and giggle awkwardly, like a fool. I'm the opposite of smooth haha

I should have posted this earlier but I was so sweaty and hungry and exhausted that I didn't get round to it. Rolllerrrrr Derby!! It was fucking awesome xD I was pretty awful at it, but it was great craic nonetheless. Seamy came with me and ended up skating with us, and he thinks he wants to be a referee which would be cool. I'm looking forwards to next week, and to getting better. Didn't fall over, which was awesome. Also, I'd forgotten just how much of an impact physical activity has on your mental health - I was buzzing so much afterwards, and I'm still feeling super proud of myself and confident. I'm a bit shocked at just how out of shape I've got since I stopped doing rugby, but I should be back on form after a few weeks. Huzzah!

Seconded.
I used to want to join a roller derby team, but then I realized that I'm the opposite of aggressive. XD

I'm not aggressive outside of sports, but I'm pretty competitive when I want to be and that brings it out of me. I have a bit of a temper as well, so getting that energy out when I can is important. When I was playing rugby I always used to be a bit of a mard at training, but then when we got out onto the pitch for a match then I'd get really into it, and I think it's just an adrenaline thing. Like it doesn't matter so much when you're only practising, but as soon as there's points involved it totally gets real xD

I'd not skated since I was like 6 or something, but they were expecting a mix of abilities so it wasn't so bad. It was dead scary when I first got my skates on though, they're much wobblier than I remember from when I used to scooch around the front room in my brother's roller skates when I was little xD

Last nights Rubberband of Wolves (Nightwish) gig.
Hoooooly sheeeeet, one of the best gigs I've ever been to, hands down. I'm still buzzing out about finally seeing them live. And this was just a club show. Imagine what the huge production show will be like on Saturday night.

I was wondering if you were going to try and hit that. They are amazing live.

People over at Blabbermouth were bitching up a storm about no pre-Once material in the set, but fuck 'em.
Yeah, that didn't bother me much. I mean I'm glad they played Once stuff. But they're touring for a new album, so I wasn't expecting too much older stuff. They did do Over the Hills and Far Away though, which is pre-Once, but a cover.
The Saturday show was amazing though!

But I survived my week in L.A. In Tempe now, just going to be relaxing, meeting up with people from the last time I was here.

OMG! The video for our ASL-Interpreter screening is up! It made my day because I totally understand what the lady in the video is talking about!!! I mean, I don't understand every sign, but I do understand the gist.

Here's the video for anyone who is interested in seeing what I'm talking about.

So yesterday I had the luminous idea to do all my schoolwork for the rest of the week, I spent 10 hours doing all the work. And at the end of the day, I got an e-mail saying I only had to be in school for half an hour today. Seeing that I've already done all my work for tomorrow, I can just come home and do nothing for the rest of the day! Awesome.
