I got a 99.5% on my trigonometry exam. And I'm used to doing well on exams, but I was really struggling with the material on this one and expected a low A and not a high one. So I'm really very happy about it right now.

I wish my uni had regular tests instead of one big exam at the end of the semester.

I think that would kill me. I've got a final at the end of the semester as well, but we've got three smaller exams before the comprehensive final. There's no way I could cover everything and retain everything if I only had one test, at least not as well as I usually do. Plus I'm way too disorganized to begin studying when I should, so there'd be lots of panicing and cramming.

I don't know a single person who starts studying in time to cover everything. I would much prefer several little tests than one on which everything hangs.

Same. I'm losing 7.5% on an essay worth 100% of a class because its three days late D:

Only 7.5%? If we hand an essay in late, it goes down a full letter grade for each day it's late. i.e. if you would have gotten an A+, you'll only get a B+ for one day and so on.

I'm thinking my classes might be stricter at a full-blown university instead of a community college.
The policies you guys are describing sound a lot like what my friends encountered at the university they go/went to, although it did vary from class to class.

O.o Jesus fuck. I feel a bit better now, even though it's now likely to be 10% since I got sick today and had to come home with basically nothing done. [/wrong thread]

I had art class today and we made faded ink drawings and the teacher said my work looked really good and I was the only one who didn't need pointers and I had too much coffee, so I'm bouncing around and I'm really hyper and I have a 8:30 class tomorrow and I'm not sleeping anytime soooooon.  :D

Technically this made my day yesterday but I think it should still count: I went to the AFP gig at Koko last night and it was AMAAAAZING :D There were so many amazing special guests and I was front row and despite being so stuck between people that I could barely move I still (sort of) did the Time Warp when Richard O'Brien was singing and oh my god it was perfect!
And just as awesome: I got to see the lovely Lucy (lucyanna) again after not having seen her for 3.5 years! :D

And now I'm tired, sore and I keep seeing glitter everywhere.
