I got my cheque today which means I am officially not poor anymore! I can pay rent on time every month and maybe even get myself a winter jumper!

I should really be spending the money on uni books but fuck that, I've been sensible for far too long.
rent and jumpers sound like a good investment for the money.

Well rent definitely, jumpers not so much.
I'm very much used to living on the edge of surviving so clothes are not a thing I buy usually.
I have to admit I'm much the same, I only buy clothes when I really need them.
Also clothes shopping is pure evil.

I agree with you on that! I love clothes, and shopping is ok too, but it's SO DIFFICULT to find things in my size. Or most places will have some things in my size but not everything and definitely not the things I like! I get so frustrated.

I remember when I was seeing Phil, he told me that he was in the process of kissing the ass of one of the co-creators of Workaholics so he could get a writing internship when he graduates and then hopefully become a writer for the show. When I brought up that Workaholics is already three seasons in and it's definitely not strong enough to last even five more years, he said that it could make it to five seasons, where it would go into syndication and he would still get money.
But I found out today that to go into syndication, the series has to have 100-130 shows already made. Workaholics only has around 10 episodes per season and would have to go on for a minimum of TEN SEASONS to go into syndication.  Keep in mind that Workaholics is a very limited show and as much as I like it, it will most likely go on for a maximum of five seasons.
So there is no way in hell that this guy is gonna hire a writing intern for the very last of the show. It's going to be really great when he finds out that Phil has zero interest in being friends with him and is just using him. MARVELOUS. MAHHHHVELOUS. FAAAAAANTASTIC.
This is a really dumb thing to be happy about, but I'm a huge TV nerd on all counts. You fuck with my BFF television, I have no sympathy.
I also just needed a place to say all of this.

I've got a mac again!

The motherboard of my macbook pro broke four months ago. So I borrowed a tiny, slow windows operated netbook from a friend. And then a few weeks ago, my sister accidentally dropped her 5 year-old macbook and her hard drive broke. She bought a new macbook, because hers was soooo old already. So now I'm using her laptop, with my hard drive, and everything is back to normal: I've got all my files, all my settings, EVERYTHING is back to normal again. MACBOOOOOK <3 now I can finally stop being irritated over the netbook.

What made my day, before getting my macbook back: I went to the piercing shop to get a shorter piercing for my lip. And the piercer asked how everything was with the ice cream business (my dad's business) and how our summer went. So I told him that business was bad, because of the weather and the broken ice cream trucks and machines. Then I asked how much I had to pay for the shorter piercing and he was all like "10 euro... but 5 is okay, because business is bad". Ha, I love the fact that every bodymod artist I go to, gives me reductions.

Brought my Epica tickets this morning!
Even though it's ages away, it means I don't have to stress about not getting VIP tickets because there were only 40, and now I just need to do flights and accommodation. Wooo!

Today, my husband caught an adorable little grass snake. I sat outside and let him crawl around my hands for 5-10 minutes & then we put him back were we found him. I wanted to keep him, but we don't know how to properly care for him & he was probably much happier in the wild anyway.

I love snakes. When my sisters and I were little things (this must've been like, nine years ago or something), we caught my Mom a gardener snake from the park by our house and gave it to her for mother's day. And it didn't seem to mind living inside, it grew very large and fat on the goldfish we fed it and we had it for a very long time...

But it's probably a good thing you put it back. It really isn't right to steal things from the wild. I miss snakes though. You should get a pet snake! One that has never been in the wild, so it won't know what it's missing!

Uh, ~Miranda~ ?

Just so's you know, most people outside Texas don't consider six-foot diamondbacks to
be "adorable little grass snakes"....  My dad's from Fort Worth, and he still doesn't fully
believe it, no matter how many people tell him.

I used to know a girl who had a pink snake!!! it was the most adorable thing ever. I don't think my cats would really get along well with a snake though. :(

I had a lecture today on recording agreements and normally my lecturer just mentions famous pop artists or hip hop artists I've never even heard of (he's a hip hop fan), but today he was talking about kickstarter and Amanda Palmer, Zoe Keating (in his words a DIY goddess) and Trent Reznor. Although I get that normally we have to talk about pop artists, this was a very nice change!

As long as your cats can't get into it's tank and you handle it when they're not around, it'd probably be safe.

They are always around. They are creepy that way. I'm pretty sure they might disown me if I bring another animal into the house.
