Did a fun run/walk for work. Our city group raised over $600 for one of the childrens wards in the country. And the few people that I walked with, we sold almost 2 cases of water along the way! And even got a $20 dontation!
Now, I'm tired and sunburnt.

I went on a date with this guy I was having doubts about. I was more afraid that he would be this stupid straight-acting asshole, and guess what? I was very, very wrong. He was funny, intelligent, cute, awesome, and mostly cute. And for some reason I kept thinking of our very own Absynth Aura. Probably because they look similar to each other. It was actually the red cheeks and wide smile that made me think of you ^

I ordered Jherek's album at my work when I found that it actually came up on our search. Much to my surprise it actually came In... and a pound cheaper than the price I ordered it at!

My friends baby party.

I actually had a good time talking to people I barely know. I kind of had to, the only people I did really know were the ones working there, so they were too busy. I don't usually do well in situations where I don't know anyone. A few friends of someone I do know came to sit with me, and we had a few laughs, and they liked my jokes.

And it seems petty, but I like it when I can get a guy's attention. There was a guy who thought I was very funny, and when he left and we were saying our goodbyes, he came up to me and gave me a high five. It's not like getting someone's phone number, but I appreciate high fives, too.

nahh...really? kate miller-heidke? i don't think it sounds like her... but it would make some sense since she's australian, too. (this is australian, right?)

damit, i'll google.

aha:
"The catchy tune 'Dumb ways to die', written by Sydney musician and The Cat Empire keyboardist Ollie McGill, reached the top 10 chart of iTunes within 24 hours and by Sunday was ranked number six in the global iTunes chart."

edit: wait, that's a guy. haha oops.

I ditched school today. I don't do that very often and it makes it even more special. It feels soooo good.

ah i see. it didn't remind me of her at first but relistening i can see where you're coming from.

the video now seems to have a wikipedia entry! saying:

The song "Dumb Ways To Die" was written by John Mescall with music by Ollie McGill from The Cat Empire, who also produced it.[4] It was performed by Emily Lubitz, the lead vocalist of Tinpan Orange, with McGill providing backing vocals.[1][3] It was released on iTunes, attributed to the artist "Tangerine Kitty" (a reference to Tinpan Orange and The Cat Empire).

:)

-----

what made my day was that my whole team at work got invited for lunch today for being so hard working and awesome. we went to a nearby restaurant which serves delicious food with lots of vegetarian options (thai curry with smoked tofu yummm) where i usually only order stuff to drink since i can't really afford the food...
