I got a job interview!!!!! I'm so happy, so much so that all of those exclamation marks were called for. It's the first one I've had in over a month of active job hunting. The interview is tomorrow morning, and I really hope I get it.

OK, I know this is a pretty lame thing to make your day, but I just wrote the following in my story and it's cracking me the fuck up. FYI - Colm died in 1983 and thus struggles with pop culture references. Asher and Garvey died like... yesterday.

-Swap you, Colm says to him, holding out a tin with a spork propped up in it.

Asher takes the food and hands Colm a can.

-It's orange, he says. -Hope that's alright.

Colm shrugs, turning off the camping stove and taking the can.

-Sure, he says. -I love orange soda.

Garvey bursts into a mad sort of cackle. Colm stares at her, eyebrows raised.

-Is it true? she manages to say. Colm blinks.
-I don't understand.
-I don't even care, she says, still laughing.

Doesn't it mean "good luck"? We too use that in Turkish meaning to say "break the leg of the devil".
