Tthere were Christmas shopping festivities in a neighbourhood in my city, today. It is hard to explain what it's like. The neighbourhood is comparable to London's Camden when there are festivities going on, but on just two streets (a tiny market, lots of "different people", ..). And everyone knows everyone, like in a tiny village. Anyway. I went there, and of course it was fun. Lots of people paid me drinks, and I met up with my best friend who lives in Paris but came to Belgium for the week and we went to the irish pub afterwards and oh my god, it was just so much fun!

I'm happy for you and also really fucking jealous. My first exam is tomorrow, I have one each on Wednesday and Thursday and I've got two papers to write before my semester is over. I am going home on Monday, I don't see me being done before then :(

my semester ends with the beginning of february, so the worst part is still to come.

EDIT: oops i was too slow. this was a response to Marionette, of course!

EDIT2: @Captain: good luck with your exams. my week is similarly atrocious: i've got a presentation on thrusday and an exam AND another presentation on monday. between that i have to work on two papers which i should have handed in already...

@Captain - I'm sorry. That sucks so bad. But with every thing you get done you'll get a little closer to finally being totally freeee.. until the next semester, anyway. Good luck on your exams and the papers, I hope that it doesn't get too awful before you're done.

@Sahara - At least you have a little while until the worst part. I dunno what I'm going to do. The next two weeks, I'm getting presents ready and doing Christmas stuff. After that, I will have to find something to occupy my time so I don't get all depressed from having too much free time. I'm actually not sure having a month off is a good thing. But right now I'm really glad about it!
