It doesn't really make my day, but it's making the last week of the semester at school a lot easier. We have to do an assignment about difficulties a kid in a classroom can have. It goes from depression, to divorcing parents, to spoiled kids, to teen pregnancies, ... the subject I got was obsessive compulsive disorder. I'm greatful for this, because I did my end of year project about this two years ago. It saves me A HELL OF A LOT of research and reading.

I was going to do an essay about OCD and its etymology...is there much material about it?

Yeah, a lot, I did a quick search at the city's library and found four useful books in just a couple of minutes. Did the same search at the school's library, they had two others. And that's what I found when I wasn't trying too hard to find anything. Haven't even searched the internet yet, because I already know a lot of the basic stuff. I just have to search for specific useful stuff for teachers.

EDIT: just did a 15 minute internet search on specific documents about OCD in the classroom/role of teachers and already found 6 useful sources.

So yeah, lots to find about it.

My housemate Emma is a server at the university - they do weddings and special events and shit in the grand hall and what have you - and she sometimes brings home food that's left over. It's always crazy delicious. I just polished off a winter berry tart with a cup of tea and an episode of Death Note, things are pretty sweet right now :)

this happened yesterday: went to catch the bus to hang with some friends. I decided to walk an additional 4 blocks past my usual stop to catch the bus at the beginning of the line. glad I did, because the bus driver let everyone who got on there ride for free!  :headbang:

Spent the first of two days of before Christmas (the next being Wednesday) sitting in the sun, reading my book, and having a few vodkas.
And shortly I'm about to head out to meet some friends, have some dinner and a couple of drinks before heading to the Telecom Christmas tree to hang out.

My mum was a chef at a hall of residence for a lot of my younger life. I miss the food she used to bring home.
