I had a really really wonderful evening/night playing D&D. It wasn't with the usual group, it was a 'reunion' with a couple of boys who suck and go to college out of town because they're mean but are home on break, and then some of the girls from the usual group. We were running an old campaign with our old characters and I was in heaven. Honestly, I really like my barbarian, but my sorcerer will always have my heart. She's so me and I love casting spells.

Anyway, I love my group and I love the characters and I love them and I'm going to cry a bit when the college boys go back. But we're (hopefully) squeezing in one more game beforehand. We love playing with each other - the other girls and I agree that the other game we run is nowhere near as good, mainly because two of the other players don't really know what they're doing and one of them isn't interested in really learning.

But yeah. Played till midnight. Had a spectacular time. And now I'm all wound up and not tired.

Today mom and i went to a book store and mom bought me a bookmark saying "There's no friend as good as one's own daughter. There's no daughter as good as mine."

:love5:

Also i bought the new album of a local alt-pop musician and it's so awesome listening to it in the car :D

facebook is like the worst book I've ever read. the characters do not evolve one bit and the plot is going nowhere.

I once got a little card from each of my parents on separate occasions about the best daughter or something. It was pretty cute and a little funny.

If i had a sister i doubt if mom could say i'm the best daughter ever or something. But we are indeed good friends with her, we've always liked spending time together.

I have a sister which is what kind of makes it funny. I had already moved out at this stage while my sister was at home, so that might have been part of it.

Day-making is that I managed to be super-productive today! I handed in my two essays, posted some books for Mammy, bought L's birthday present and did all of my washing.

Today was the first day of my last semester and I had two fun and interesting classes today, and the third didn't happen because the professor didn't show up. Also my friend just told me the story of how when he woke up this morning to his alarm clock he pushed the button to stop it and it wouldn't stop, so then he kept pressing all the buttons and it still wouldn't stop. Then he took out the batteries and it still wouldn't stop, so he gave up. He didn't realize until later that he forgot he had also set an alarm on his phone for the same time to make sure he woke up.

I went to Meeting this morning. It's an unofficial resolution of mine, to go to Meeting more often, because I think it's good for me and because it gets me out of the house and into a real life community that isn't part of school or family or whatever. This week was their third-Sunday discussion group, and it was about ministry in Meeting which was super-interesting and I'd love to wax lyrical about it but I don't think it'd be very interesting for people who aren't Quakers xD It was nice to just go to Meeting anyway, although I'm exhausted and didn't really get into it. The ministry we had this morning was great, but I couldn't really focus on it. Still, it was nice to just go and sit quietly for an hour with other people and not be sort of checking tumblr or facebook or whatever every twelve seconds, or having to talk to people about crap because they won't shut up for a minute. I love being a Quaker sometimes. Sometimes it's a gigantic bag of balls, but other times it just rings so true with me, I can't believe it.

My mom had hip replacement surgery, and it went really well. So happy she's fine and she noticed improvements right away, which is amazing :)

My mom had both of hers replaced (at separate times).  The difference was
remarkable and nearly immediate...

That's great to hear! My mom walked with pain in both hips for 10 (!) years before finally deciding to go under the knife. She was too stubborn, she thought she was too young to replace them...

Her other hip will also be replaced in the near future.

So two of my sisters and I were in the living room today, watching tv and having silly conversation. After the program we were watching was done, one of them put on a song and started doing a dance she learned at school (she's in her last year of education to become a PE teacher). I was all "OMG I WANT TO DO IT, TOO!" so we all started doing silly dances to various songs for twenty minutes. It was the most fun I've had in a while. We laughed so hard. It got even funnier when my brother entered somewhere in the middle, looked at us as if to say: "wtf for weird kind of shit are you doing?" and all of a sudden just started dancing along in the most silly way for the next three minutes. Then he left, as if nothing had happened.
