I've been pretty depressed for a long time now, and yesterday my mum got a little fed up with me moping about the house all day, and she told me to go sit by the pond in the garden and just look at the frogs and the fish and the plants and to just enjoy the sunlight to learn to appreciate the beauty of the little things in life. At first I thought it was kinda lame but it actually kinda worked. I spent about an hour just sitting there looking at the fish swimming around and the frogs humping each other and it was oddly soothing, and after that I felt pretty okay for the rest of the day.

James introduced me to an old friend by saying "this is the girl I'm going to marry."

Tres cute!

SO I was working a kid's show today in the freezing wind and my friend and her kids brought me a hot, freshly made lunch! Gnocchi in aglio e olio with a cherry lemonade and cannoli! Om nom nom nom nom!

The following FB messages, edited for ease of readingness:

INDJA SAYS: I wanted to tell you that I missed you, but I didn't want to sound soppy and pathetic, so this is me not saying it. So there x

SEAMY SAYS: im glad to know... This is me not acknowledging the fact that you didn't say that. This is also me not saying that ive been playin stupid games on the net and watching stupid stuff on tv and turning off my phone so i wouldnt distract you from workin away and tryin to get better... so i didnt say that and i didnt wanna say i miss you either

We are total losers >.<

I saw a man with a pet goat today and I got candy sticks in various flavors. Also J let me know there was a Doctor Who thing going on but I couldn't go. But he sent me an email and was like "wasn't sure you knew of this"  ... that's rather thoughtful I think.

J started speaking to me again! It may have been because he was drunk, and I started the conversation but that's not the point. It's been a month and a half, it's nice to have my full complement of friends again.
Also, L is being really very sweet and his attempts to cheer me up were very much appreciated. Also, Claire and her wonderful gift at being a friend. I just love people :love5:

I actually had a pretty good weekend...

Pacofish (old-timers will remember him) & Friends Burlesque/Boylesque/Drag show on Friday...

VCU (my old university) beat the top team in their bracket of the NCAA tournament, and while
I'm not a massive basketball fan, it's kinda cool that our team, dismissed by a number of those
TV talking-head guys as not deserving to be in the tournament at all, is in the final four...

...and I caught those nice World/Inferno Friendship Society kids at a little club on campus...
I even got to dance with a pretty girl...   O0  She's a better dancer than I am.   :)

^To be fair, he only said you were a better dancer than he is - doesn't necessarily follow that you're an especially good dancer ;)
