Saw a different doctor to the last one I saw. They're both OK, but the one I saw today was a lot more cheery. Even though it meant he kept talking really fast and I didn't understand what he was saying. He said he'd refer me to some counselling type thing (FINALLY. I've been waiting for someone to do that for like 3 weeks now) and gave me a prescription for more of the anti-depressants I'm on at the moment, which wasn't really day-making material, but it has taken a little off of my shoulders because I'm planning a trip to Dartford and London next week and I would have just run out and I was concerned that seeing another doctor would mean that I'd have trouble getting more. Probably a stupid concern, but this is the first time in ages I've actually spent time seeing doctors, so I have no idea what to expect, really.
you're on the right path :) yay

I had a very nice coffee date this morning with a guy before he went to work.
He works in McDonald's, and kept his coat on while we had coffee because I think he was embarrassed about his uniform (even though he's a manager so it's a shirt and waistcoat, not an 'I speak English' tshirt).

I would be interested to know if the majority of the people staring at us were staring because we're both male or because he's clearly older than me, or a combination of the two.

My sister felt bad for me about the break-up, so this afternoon she's taking me for coffee and a muffin, and tonight we're going to see a movie I really really wanted to see, but I couldn't find anyone to take me (as it's only playing in a neighbouring city and I have no driver's licence).

I like this part of breaking up.  ;D

Haha, yeah take the advantages of it as much as you can. I'm glad to see you are doing good.

I'd totally take to you to that movie if i were there, we might wreck some cars on the way though  ;D

facebook is like the worst book I've ever read. the characters do not evolve one bit and the plot is going nowhere.

It's kind of a little thing to make my day, but I like being included in stuff sometimes. Matt's sister is getting married and her and her parents just went out to look at wedding shops and things. I'm not the most girly yay pretty things person in the world, but I enjoy looking at pretty dresses sometimes. So anyway they asked me to go with them. I can't right now, might go up and meet them later when Matt gets home, but it made me feel all fluffy inside that they invited me. Sad, I know.

That's not sad. It's always nice to feel accepted, and especially since it's Matt's family :)

Because its weddingy stuff and he doesn't want to go. Ah well, I have less fun, more productive stuff to do.

What a shame :(
But still, being asked is an honour in itself and maybe you'll get more opportunities :)

It makes me inappropriately happy to see that after I marked something on the flat expenses roster with a faux-excited exclamation mark, my flatmate did the same thing in her entry below me.

I've started a flat roster exclamation mark trend :D

It's only 7am, though, so hopefully something more excitingly day making happens today :D

Today we rode out to Windermere on the bikes.  They had the owls out today and I held one! I look utterly retarded and psychotic in the photos because I was grinning like a maniac, so I'm not posting them, but the owl was awesome! The guy told me to put my hand under it's wing and tickle it's leg and when I did, it started opening and closing it's beak.  Also when Matt was trying to take pictures, it kept turning it's head the other way, so the guy kept having to push it's head around to face the camera.

It didn't want to get off my hand when the guy called it, so he put his nose in its beak and looked it in the eye and said 'you can't stay on her arm all day' and it crawled onto his. It loved him, every time he held it it put it's wing around his shoulder and he said that's how you know an owl is your friend, it was so cute.

They also had tiny owls and a barn owl, I stroked them all.  The guy explained how barn owls get one side of themselves to sleep and lift up that leg while the other side of them is awake and alert, then they swap over, which I never knew before.
YOU     MUST   SHARE    THE    PICTURES.....   :)
