today I went to a book presentation in Milan. there was Anna Paola Concia, who's the only openly gay member of the parliament in Italy, talking about her new book on lgbt rights and her life.
I follow her on facebook, so at the end I went to the signing table with my book and said "I'm Sylvia, with a Y, I always follow you on fb" and she was like, "ah, you're Sylvia Mansfield, right??"
HAHAH I was so happy  :D. I mean, I do comment every once in a while, but nothing major, and she has tons of people writing to her on facebook...so I was really really really honored she knew my name! She signed the book "to sylvia, a dear facebook friend. with love, Anna Paola".
it's funny because it made me think of something AFP would do, but it's nice to see such genuine people in the world of politics.

OMG OMG i just googled that and found out there is such a "lunch beat" 5 mins. from where i work! (which is not in sweden, but it seems like the idea is spreading). haha i'll definitely check that out when they have that again!! sadly it's not every day. it sucks my lunch break is only 30 minutes, though...

yeah, i'm also way more inclined to dance if i've had a drink or two, but there seems to be a no-alcohol rule, which makes sense since you have to go back to work afterwards :D  but i guess if nobody is drinking there, it will be equally awkward for everyone (and less awkward overall).
