No one's mentioned Heath Ledger!

Well, see, he had his own thread, and it went pretty poorly. Seems that when you don't care about a celebrity's death, that automatically makes you a condescending elitist.

So in conclusion it wasn't all the sex you were having, it was his suspicion that you were a vagina elf drug dealer.

His passing predated this thread.  I figured if we had a thread, we could at least get a mention
for people who probably wouldn't rate a whole thread of their own.  I hope when I die I get my
name dropped on boards I never would have visited; is that too much to ask?

Regardless, he was a fucking good actor and it sucks that his daughter has to grow up without him. And for those on the 'Box who didn't care about his death- I'd be surprised if that majority DIDN'T see The Dark Knight.

One of my crushes is in that movie. I have to watch it. He's preeeetty.
Besides, seeing a movie doesn't require admiration and care for the people involved. I saw Iron Man, I don't remember anybody's name that was in it, and I liked it. Please don't state that like it's a cause-and-effect.

oh man I'm so blind (with all these forums it's making it worse)

Still, paying respects in this collective thread is still cool, right?

It is true that both of these fine gentlemen, among a host of others, remain deceased.
What I had envisioned, given the spatial restraints of this medium in the context of the
sizeable number of celebrities who are, in fact, dead, is a place to bring such unfortunate
events to the community consciousness as they are news, rather than retrospectively.

Otherwise, we shall doubtless be overrun by dead celebrities in a way that would suggest
a low-budget "Matinee Of The Living Dead"...

Perhaps someone could start a "Celebrities Who Didn't Rise From The Grave Today" thread...

Cyd Charisse left us at age 86...
(She's the one in the green dress, duh.)

YouTube does her no justice.  If you wanna see hotness, rent one of her films.
You won't regret it.

I've been thinking about this thread as for those who have died recently. Not those that have died awhile ago.

Indeed...

If you're referring Cyd C., she died last week.
(She stopped being quite so amazingly hot a while before that, but that's not the point.)
