a fuss.  Yay George!)

George Carlin was my hero.  His reputation was built as an irreverant maverick and, of course, the seven words you can never say on television,  He was a keen observer of human behavior in all its hypocrisy and oddities, but at the core he was a linguist of the highest order.  One can't think of euphemisms or oxymorons or the strange beauty of language without thinking of George Carlin.

I think I'll go cry now.

I can honestly say I've been depressed since I found out George Carlin died.

Hmmm...  a bad stretch for the people who made ya laugh...
Bozo the Clown, or rather Larry Harmon, they guy who really put the Bozo character on the map, died yesterday

We also lost the guy who designed Big Bird, Kermit Love...

I guess, with George carlin, that's the obligatory "three"...  since we all know celebrity deaths come in threes.

He's dead now....  and I think you do a disservice to Thurmond, who never formally renounced racism, but seems to have
had, in fact, a change of heart late in life. [feel free to insert pacemaker joke here]  Maddox I don't know as well, but also
seems not to have been the hardcore hater that Helms was, and seems to have remained until yesterday.

Estelle Getty, the diminutive actress who spent 40 years struggling for success before landing a role of a lifetime in 1985 as the sarcastic octogenarian Sophia on TV’s “The Golden Girls,” has died. She was 84.
