I still can't get over Heath Ledger death. he was so young! When I was watching the Dark Knight, I felt kinda sad and I keep thinking, "Wow, this is his last movie. He was so talented!"

 :uglystupid2:
What? He was talented and he was only 28!

I do.

But only because one of the fellows I work with made a joke about his coffin being made of rich Corinthian leather, and then explained it to me afterward.

 :uglystupid2:

I got it.

I have no excuse. I got the reference because I'm a BFD (big fucking dork).

I even know that it's a misquote. He never said "rich" (or "fine") Corinthian leather in the ads. He said "soft" Corinthian leather. (It's one of those famous misquotes like "play it again, Sam"). Also, the "Corinthian" leather was actually made in Newark.

And.. the "fantasy" CeeGBee alluded to was because (in addition to being Khaaaaaaaan(!!)) Ricardo Montalban was also Mr Roarke in Fantasy Island.

Sadly (and this is where I reveal the true extent of my dorkdom) I also suspect that your co-worker (Molotovna) probably stole that joke about Montalban's coffin being lined in rich corinthian leather from LeVar Burton (Geordi from Star Trek TNG) who made the exact same comment on his Twitter when he heard that Montalban had died.

I have no excuse for knowing any of this shit. I wasn't born when Star Trek or Fantasy Island where on TV. I shouldn't know any of this. I'm almost too young for the Star Trek movies and The Next Generation, for crying out loud...

*dorks self to death*
