This sorta reminds me of this post I saw on Tumblr

"Michael Jackson alive: "Ew that fucking pedophile what a horrible person"
Michael Jackson dead: "LONG LIVE THE KING OF POP HE WILL BE MISSED WE LOVE YOU MJ"
Amy Winehouse alive: "That slutty heroin addict needs to just drop dead already"
Amy Winehouse dead: "Ugh she was such a great talent, taken so young. Rest in peace, Amy ♥"
Whitney Houston alive: "Stupid crackwhore. What a fucking moron."
Whitney Houston dead: "I am in tears, she was taken so soon. Her voice will live on. She was so wonderful and talented.""

Pretty much like that.

Songwriter Robert Sherman died last night at the age of 86. This makes me super sad.

Sadly, a link to Fox News, but it's a well written article with a great photo...

Adrienne Rich died last night.

I was a huge fan of her poetry, and it wasn't until reading hers that I began writing. Not that I credit myself with being in any way good, I credit her with providing me some form of expression or hobby.

^I had heard actually, my newsfeed was flooded.

It was disappointing the amount of "Who was Adrienne Rich?" on my newsfeed.
Almost every young Irish person studies her poetry in school, she's on the course...clearly nothing sticks.

Painter Thomas Kinkade
Quote
Thomas Kinkade, one of the most popular artists in America, has died at his California home, his family said.

He was 54.

"Thom provided a wonderful life for his family,'' his wife, Nanette, said in a statement late Friday night. "We are shocked and saddened by his death.''

His death at his Los Gatos home appeared to be from natural causes, according to the family. More details will be released in the days ahead.

Art from the self-described "painter of light" adorns many living rooms in America. It emphasizes simple pleasures and warm, positive images of idyllic cottages, lighthouses and colorful gardens.

The Painter of Light has faded to black.

RIP Dick Clark

Hmm... Could it be that this is what the Mayans were predicting, the death of Dick Clark? And thus, with no one qualified to usher in the New Year, the world ended.

What a stroke of bad luck.  :'(

Ya know...  I wasn't a particular fan, but I can't imagine anyone who could fill the space.
Certainly not.... who is it? Carson Daly? A mere shadow of the man himself.
