i went to a meeting this morning and the focus was tricking yourself into not eating. they touched on food as a security blanket and stuff like that. basically they said find other things you like and keep busy with them.

also stuff like try eating on smaller plates, use smaller utensils to make it seem like you're eating more even when you're not, drink lots of water to help your stomach stay semi-full throughout the day, etc.

and i'm down another 1.4lbs.   O0

I know this is the Weight Watchers thread, but I figured this would be the best place to put it. My mother and I started South Beach today. This is going to be incredibly hard for me, because I'm an absolute bread and pasta fiend [being Sicilian and all], so two weeks without will be quite difficult, but I think I can manage. I hope I can manage...

sara lee makes 45-calorie bread that has been very helpful to me because i like sandwiches.

it tastes good and you can have up to 2 slices and still be under 100 calories.

Awesome, I'll have to check that out when I get to the level when I can have bread again.

I'm on the my-throat-feels-like-glass-is-raping-it diet.
I've lost a lot of weight.
Just pudding, mashed potatoes, and apple sauce. With the occasional glass of Gatorade and lots of water.

my parents were on that for a while a few years ago...then we went to florida and we stopped at a waffle house (weird family "tradition" according to my dad) and they both got huge plates of food and i asked "arent you supposed to be on weight watchers?" and they both looked at each other and my dad says "not anymore!!"

i dont think it really worked for them though...although my mom stopped eating most bread like foods and having at least 1 yogurt a day and she's lost a lot of weight

The "French Women Don't Get Fat" lady swears by a yogurt a day.

i would follow the 1 yogurt/glass of milk a day routine if i liked dairy products more.

i eat a yogurt maybe 2 times a week and rarely drink milk unless it's coming from my cereal bowl.
