I've read somewhere that there is going to be a remake of My Fair Lady coming out within a year or two, starring Daniel Day Lewis and Keira Knightley.  :-\

Yeah, I'd heard Keira was involved. No idea who the male lead was 'til now.

*pah*  Keira in My Fair Lady...eap.  Ick.

I wanna see The Day The Earth Stood Still as well.  Seven Pounds looks interesting, but I always miss the WIll Smith December flicks.  They never inspire me enough to see them.  *blinks*  He's just not interesting anymore.

That's what I'm thinking. Audrey was a superb Eliza. I think Daniel Day Lewis might be okay, though.

Also, I've heard that Johnny Depp is to be in the new Alice in Wonderland. Big surprise.

No no no no no no no!!!!!  I haven't liked Depp since he screwed up Sweeney Todd.  *annoyed*  Why the fuck does Johnny Depp now have to dominate roles in all of the awesome movies.  He used to actually be a good actor, but lately...he needs a COMBO BREAKER.  I swear to god, dude.

Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter in the new Alice film........it is a Tim Burton film, so it is hardly surprising that Mr Depp is in it.......I imagine Helena Bonham Carter will be the Queen of Hearts

I am personally looking forward to:
The Day The Earth Stood Still (if you haven't seen the original...you must. It's awesome)
The Reader (maybe...I love Ralph Fiennes, but I'd have to be convinced about that story line)
The Spirit
and of course Harry Potter. Whenever that decides to come out.

Did anyone see Australia and was it worth seeing?

(this is an Australian asking, if it makes any difference)

I know a few people who saw it. My mother in law was the only one who liked it but even she said it was way too long.
