Sword training for Brigaders.......
« on: July 04, 2008, 09:14:25 AM »

I am willing and able to teach any UK brigaders or intrerested persons, how to fight broadsword.... I will do this for free for anyone willing to teach me some other performing skills, or beer, or food etc. All that I would need is somewhere to conduct the training sessions ( preferably somewhere not full of china and expensive breakables)

I'd trade you a week's stay in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains (California, near Monterey, 90 minutes south of San Francisco) with the use of a stick shift car for sword training...I don't think we're going to be getting to London for several more years though.

If I ever find myself in the US you are on! but I do not drive, so the car would be pretty useless without a driver

I will gladly trade a couple of weeks intensive sword training just for a place to crash!

You'd be more than welcome.  Home is a small house, but in a big forest. I'm sure we could find you a driver :)

We can also pick you up from airports in San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland...

Broadsword training? That's a bit out of the blue, though I'm not surprised that you're the one offering. ;D

Duly noted!... the stuff i do is show fighting rather than western martial arts, and is about looking good while doing freeform swod displays (relatively) safely.... It is not at all related to fencing, but has it's roots in tournament fighting
