Its hard to pick favourites because they always change. but the songs with the highest play count in iTunes are the fun and poppy songs like Shores, Dear Jenny, Leeds, Sorry Bunch, Alcoholic Friends, etc etc.

Some songs I could never get sick of are Half Jack, Truce, Boston, Glass Slipper <3

everything about this song is great, i really like how the piano sounds in it but i like the lyrics as well

MANDY GOES TO MED SCHOOL-
it has a really unique sound. plus, when they play it live and brian does a drum solo, its soooooo amazing.
i think thats also what makes me love this song, brians amazing drum skills

Dolls:
Girl Anachronism --2:58 of pure passion and madness. All that I love about the Dresden Dolls is packed into this song!

Truce--never fails to make me go "wow..." at the end.

The Jeep Song--lifts me out of every bad mood, no matter what the reason.

Shores of California--makes me dance infront of the mirror and sing my heart out

Sing--cause it's obvious

Boston--"There is nothing in the world that we can count on" is the most beautiful line of No, Virginia.

Amanda:
Leeds United--had this song no more than a week, and I love it to bits.

Astronaut--is so raw and passionate

Ampersand is just...beautiful!

Ambien--the ending is fantastic, and makes me yell the ending every time.

What's the backstory?

I shouldn't have been so cryptic...I'm just referring to the whole story behind her finding the horn musicians at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for her live version on the song, deciding on the spot to book a local recording studio, recording her part in one take without warming up (and after several days of partying), and sending the rough, one-take product to her producer Ben Folds as a demo -- who loved it and argued for including it on the final record.

5. Brick (Ben Folds)

i love that one too.

I should move Brick up in my list!  I like the pop beat and Randy Newman-esque chord progressions.  Actually I was thinking of dropping "Hallelujah" down to 4. or 5.  It's a great song, and she rips it out well, but to me it's become almost a cliche song by now.

I can't pick one favorite out of all of them but there is just something special about Girl Anachronism to me. I don't know what exactly, maybe it's the fact that it was the very first Dresden dolls song I ever heard or what but that one always gets me going and picks me up.

I love Truce. So so so so much. I love the way it builds and how it just gets louder and louder.
Also, Bank of Boston Beauty Queen, Glass Slipper (when she played this as the Kentucky show, I nearly cried), Boston, Kalendrina, Good Day, Thirty Whacks, Night at the Roses, Me & the Minibar, Delilah, Good Day, Gravity.
Gah, it's so hard to pick a favorite!
I really like their slow songs that build and make me just....feel.
And I love songs like Good Day and Gravity that make me want to dance and tap my feet.
As far as Amanda's solo stuff, I really love The Living room because it makes me so sad.
And The Point of it All, Ampersand (live), Echo Gallery, Mary's Surgeon, Not Mine, Provanity, Bluesboy....I just really like her older stuff.
Favorite covers of The Dresden Dolls:
Two-Headed Boy, War Pigs, Mein Herr, Mad World.

The Point Of It All because i completely relate to its character who feebly attempts to change her life by accessorising it with friends and holidays and what not, but ultimately, as long as she is the person she is, nothing's going to change. this song reminds me that i'm stuck with myself. forever.
