I hate putting stuff on Facebook. I'm always half sure people are gonna take things the wrong way. Also I get annoyed by people being massively passive aggressive on it, its very annoying.
Yep. Also, people always make one simple comment into a huge discussion thread, which is really annoying. I wish I could delete my FB page, but what absynth said is true for me too. Many (most, actually) people I know plan everything through facebook.
Regarded the birthday thing, Im pretty sure 98% of those who wished me a happy birthday wouldn't have done it if it wasn't because of FB. I mean, I don't care much about it, I just think it is funny how they post their best wishes like if the knew already it was your birthday. At least, this year, I got two really kind messages from friends I miss.
I hate more how people use Facebook than the tool itself (not that I like it anyway). Which leads me to think about two little things:
1. How funny is it that ten years ago people used to laugh at those who kept a personal blog where personal things like "today I ate a really good dinner at John Doe's restaurant", or even "parting at my bff! how cool is that?", or even the passive agresive shit were shared. But today they all do the same thing and call you an anti-social if you dont have a profile on facebook, or that you should post more.
2. That these same people would think you are a weirdo for hooking your laptop on the local cafe power supply and keep writing/browsing there, but today they barely can keep a conversation in real life without checking their fucking phones every bloody minute.
Cheers!
