Rolling through internets instead of studying at 2am...

YES THIS. SO MUCH THIS.

Samesies.

Thirded. My hair no longer holds color for more than a few weeks. ;_;

I convinced my mom to get us Thai food tonight. This will be the fourth time in three weeks where I'll have had Pad Thai.

^Pad Thai is freaking delicious. Never feel bad about eating it.

So, as some of you may be aware, I've spent the entire summer (that's about three and a half months) coasting on what was left of my student loan so I could avoid having a job. It has been AWESOME. Anyway, my next loan instalment doesn't come in until the 24th, and I just checked my balance for the first time for a long time. I should be fine, but I might have to stock up on instant noodles and cheap beer to eke it out xD Still, would way rather have twelve days of scraping to get by after three months of easy living than, you know, work like a normal person xD

On an unrelated note, my mum told me today to stop being so foul-mouthed on my blog. I lol'd.

I can never have Pad Thai without Thai iced tea, either. Oh god, it's better than sex I swear.

If you do get a job, I can imagine you being a really good bartender.

^I tend to replace Thai iced tea with Newcastle Brown Ale..... ;) They don't do the iced tea over here, I don't think. Or at least, not in the Thai place I get my food from. I think it caters more to Northern Irish palates than anything else.

I think I'd be an awful bartender xD I don't do well under stress. I loved working at the library though, if I was going to get a job I'd try and get another one like that. Or the information centre, that was awesome too.

The black is growing out and my new stylist put a dark brown that shows red in the sun. It's not the best but it's not black.

In a way, $4-per-gallon gasoline may prove to have been one of the best things ever to happen here in the Detroit area.

When it first happened back in the spring of 2008, bus ridership shot through the roof. Even when prices subsided by early fall, the ridership never really fell back to pre-2008 levels. Better yet, it finally kicked our bicycle subculture into the overall local mainstream. Over the last 18 months or so, local municipalities are creating bike lanes at an ever-increasing rate and you see bicyclists everywhere.

...oh, and this year, motor scooter culture has finally broken through - you see everyone from teens to senior citizens riding them now.

I paid $3.99 today. Mostly, I just see people in LA bitching about the price, but still paying it. I do see less SUV/Hummers/etc.

Wow that's not expensive  :) I don't see why people complain about it, lol.
But of course it also depends on the preferred engine volumes and torques in the U.S.
I've heard somewhere that, in the U.S., cars with bigger engine volumes & torques were much more common than the economy class-family type cars.

It works out to $5.70 a gallon here. Since it went up a couple of years ago public transport use has doubled.

Gasoline here in my city costs R$2,39 per litter, which is more or less U$1,18. That means 1 gallon (US gallon) here costs U$4,70. But here most cars are 1.0 engines, meaning they do more or less 10Km/L.

Still cheaper than it is in Turkey, it's currently around $2,50-2,60 per litre.

Pshh, let me give you a secret neigbour, we are buried neck-deep into economical crisis. External loan, current deficit, and what not. Both the current government and Arab Spring movements have been buggering up the budget balance, anyway we are really good at pretending everything's okay, lol.
