As a kid, I used to eat raw tomatoes, and I had a food jag that led me to eat nothing but apples for a week

It is unusual to eat cooked tomatoes here. We only cook if it is party of a receipt or when making sauces.

I definitely cooked them

When I was a kid we (my siblings & I) used to crunch up Ramen Noodles w/ the seasoning in a sandwich bag. It was kind of like super weird flavored chips.

I used to do that with Pot Noodles!!!!

I love tomatoes... and hadly ever cook them... unless making home made ketchup or tomatoe sauce.

That can be a bit messy as they tend to spurt seed everywhere (god that sounds so off topic... LOL)

But a lot of people here in Mallorca (Spain) do eat them like that... just fresh off the bush and take a big bite... they really are gorgeous like that...

I had a really good random thought early but forgot it before I could share. So you get this instead: last night my husband said the words "it comes in spurts" I don't even remember what we were talking about but it was not any way related to sex which made it 30 bajillion times better.

Anyway... sillyness... I'm going to have some dinner, have a beer or something stronger and vegetate on the sofa for a couple of hours befor going to bed... Will feed dog first.

Absolutely unrelated but found a Ladybird Childrens book this afternoon called "Smoke and Fluff" and had to explain to the Superintendant at a school where I coordinate extra-curricular English why I was rolling on the floor in tears... She was only slightly amused... I then showed it to Spanish guy who teaches English but he did not know what a Fluffer was... so it was really lost on him.


The first line of the book reads


"Mrs. Cat was busy knitting,
Didn't notice soon enough
Kittens underneath the table,
Saucy Smoke and frisky Fluff."


I could not possibly read that to little kids and keep a straight face... But then I'm just dirty minded and twisted like that...

Also, I remembered my other random thought! It too involves my husband. I was talking about something to do with sbox (look how fast I learn!) and he said "So basically you've joined the Amanda Palmer guild?" I agreed. It was the easiest way for his gamer mind to understand.

Fresh tomatoes off the vine are so tasty and should be eaten like that!!!
