There's a giant spider in my bathroom, and I'm pretty sure it wants to kill me. And now I can't go back in there, which is bad, since I need to get ready for bed.
Also, I can't squish it because A) To squish it I would have to get close to it and that is just *not* happening and B) It's really mean to kill things just because they scare you (and possibly want to kill you).

Ah, the brain! I can deal with spiders, but I cant deal with cockroaches.

I've never really seen a cockroach. I don't think we've got many of them in this apartment complex, probably since we're in a suburb instead of the city or something. Are you actually scared of cockroaches, or just totally grossed out by them?

I'm truely scared of the cockroaches. But it's not like jumping up the chairs when i see them, i just refrain from them. Just think about it, them little bastards have survived all of the natural disasters and shit through more than 300 million years, while even the hugest dinosaurs couldn't make it. On the other hand, their radiation resistant shell is unable to protect them from getting crushed with a flip-flop.

They're really weird.

Just finished chapter two! It's making me want a yank to beta it though because I keep writing things that are just not right for America o.O

is it fiction? I help my little sister with her stuff. I'm not so much on the grammar-y side but more on the I read A WHOLE FREAKING LOT and what you are saying does/does not make sense.. sort of way. I'd love to look at whatever it is if you would like!

@sangrebloom - It's essentially a road-trip, and I've picked up when they're going through South Dakota and heading out west. Most of it I think I've got but it's certain phrases or images I just don't know about xD

@Miranda - It is indeed fiction. It would completely awesome if you want to have a scan of it and see if it's making sense. It's only the first first draft at the minute, so obviously it's very far from polished, but there's certain bits where a second eye would be a great help! And yeah, I meant yank as in just American xD

@imaginary - I think that'd be fine if they were English characters, but they're Americans in America so it doesn't make a lot of sense. Certain things like spelling and whatever I don't really care about, but when we have different words for things I tend to use the English one instead of the wrong American one.

Email I guess would be easiest? You could PM me your address? I could send both chapters as separate files. I think the only specific things I'm unsure of is American terminology, but I'll go through them both and if there's anything specific that jumps out then I'll stick a note in the document itself. An opinion on the whole thing would be great though.

@Savannah: Do you know these sprays for (or rather AGAINST) cockroaches? when i was living in a more cockroach-prone area i bought a spray that upon spraying on the running beast, would kill it immedately (which caused the cockroach to switch from running very fast to lie on it's back within seconds). i don't know what kind of poison it was, though

@Miss Sahara: I know those sprays, we used to have lots of cockroaches at the office when we first moved it to its curent place. First we'd tried to defeat them with such kind of sprays, but somehow they hadn't stopped reproducing, and we had to get an exterminator guy.

Well, we got rid of them eventually. But it wasn't like a victory, there were lots of them lying on their backs on the floor  And picking them off the floor was one of the most disgusting things i've ever done.

Not scared, but I have to deep breath when I have to kill one. Not that are that many here at home, even though I live in the city. Actually, before 15 days ago, it had almost an year since last time I saw one here at home.

And you never seen one in your whole life?

The building next to my house had called an exterminator a month ago or so, so we have to be aware of cockroaches appearing here.

It bothers me that people assume you're gay when you support gay rights. Both me and my best friend are big supporters of equal rights, but we're both heterosexual. People seem to have a hard time grasping that concept. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind people assuming I'm gay or anything, they can think what they want, I'm not offended. It just bothers me that when they do this, they also imply that heterosexuals are automatically 'against' gay rights.

If I've seen one, I didn't know it was a cockroach. And I usually google about until I find out what a bug is if it's one I haven't seen before, so I don't think I've ever seen one... maybe I'm just lucky. Or maybe all the horrific spiders keep them away.
