Heh, I'm confused, I could've sworn I'd just posted something in here. Ah well, I'll repeat:


It bothers me that people assume you're gay when you support gay rights. Both me and my best friend are big supporters of equal rights, but we're both heterosexual. People seem to have a hard time grasping that concept. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind people assuming I'm gay or anything, they can think what they want, I'm not offended. It just bothers me that when they do this, they also imply that heterosexuals are automatically 'against' gay rights.

I've never really seen a cockroach. I don't think we've got many of them in this apartment complex, probably since we're in a suburb instead of the city or something. Are you actually scared of cockroaches, or just totally grossed out by them?

Not scared, but I have to deep breath when I have to kill one. Not that are that many here at home, even though I live in the city. Actually, before 15 days ago, it had almost an year since last time I saw one here at home.

And you never seen one in your whole life?

If I've seen one, I didn't know it was a cockroach. And I usually google about until I find out what a bug is if it's one I haven't seen before, so I don't think I've ever seen one... maybe I'm just lucky. Or maybe all the horrific spiders keep them away.

Cities are nasty, and a walk in the city centre during night is enough to see rats too.

I totally know what you mean. I'm bi, but it annoys me when people think that one's sexuality somehow dictates whether or not you support LGBT rights or not. I mean, it would be a bit of an anomaly to find an LGBT person who didn't support their own rights, but that doesn't mean that straight people should be assumed to be against it or that being queer is the only motivation someone can have for supporting it.

In many places here in Brazil, including my city, if you are friends with gay people, they probably think you are gay too. Specially if you are man.

@Miss Sahara: I know those sprays, we used to have lots of cockroaches at the office when we first moved it to its curent place. First we'd tried to defeat them with such kind of sprays, but somehow they hadn't stopped reproducing, and we had to get an exterminator guy.

Well, we got rid of them eventually. But it wasn't like a victory, there were lots of them lying on their backs on the floor  And picking them off the floor was one of the most disgusting things i've ever done.

ah i see. i never had to cope with so many of them. fortunately!! what you describe sounds sooo not fun o.O
