I had a similar experience a few months ago on a car ride to my aunt's house in Pennsylvania. I woke up from a nap and looked out the window, only to see what looked like an AFP or Long Live The Punk Cabaret decal on their window. Unfortunately, I was in the car... So it was a bit of a dilemma

I've never understood Lady GaGa's appeal. There is a moronic tone to her voice and look in her eyes that irritates me too much to listen to her, and her theatrical image just doesn't seem to interest me as much as that of say, Cinema Strange. She seems like a far less talented version of Siouxsie Sioux making modern pop from what I've heard. And she's ORANGE.
What do people like about her?

Her songs are catchy and people like to see her outfits. I'm not really a fan, but I'll listen to her stuff in the car with friends.

My voice is almost completely gone which is kind of strange. I guess I should have rested my voice instead of trying to sing as loud as possible.

Drink a ton of hot liquids, tea by itself is the best especially if it's ginseng and ginger. It kills bacteria and soothes that throat. Also when singing keep your throat and mouth open. Kinda like yawning and support. Support is basically engaging muscles to support the sound without straining other parts of your body (ie. throat, shoulders, and chest). So to do this, breathe in to your belly making it look like you're a prego and push out as you're singing. It's like taking a poo - that's how my voice teacher puts it. Anyway, save your voice puster pie!

No, really hot liquids are bad for the throat, warmish herbal teas are good, but it depends which ones you drink. Just try to do some gentle vocal exercises that don't stretch your range too much. Or try drinking about a glass of port.

Just watched the Glee performance of The Time Warp.

The only things good about it were Tina as Columbia and Kurt as Riff. Honestly, if anyone was stupid enough to remake Rocky Horror, they should hopefully have the least bit of brain capacity to cast him.

otherwise, it made me a bit angry. Anyone that's a hardcore "gleek" (other than maybe a couple of people) that I know don't seem to realize that Rocky Horror is a classic in the name of cult followings. It should never be redone in its entirety, and certainly, they shouldn't just throw the cast together willy-nilly. I like that they're sort of bringing it back, but if the movie was redone, it would either ruin everything or completely bomb. People compare this sort of thing to Star Trek, but it's NOT the same. Rocky Horror was awful ON PURPOSE, so that you could fall in love with its flaws. It is never meant to be retouched because it's bad, because that's the whole concept: it's a parody of musicals, sci-fi B-movies, and horror flicks. It's not meant to be serious at all, and is fine the way it is.
